Ashraf Sheri received B.Eng in Microelectronics Engineering from the University of Pretoria, and M.Eng and D.Ing in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Currently, Dr. Sheri lectures at the North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, South Africa. Previously, he lectured at the University of Johannesburg and has served as an integrated circuit design engineer. His research interests include Electromagnetic and power-line communications.
Arnold S de Beer was born in South Africa and received the B.Ing and M.Ing degrees in electrical engineering from the Rand Afrikaans University, Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1989 and 1992. In 1995 he was awarded the D.Ing (Electrical) degree from the Rand Afrikaans University, Johannesburg, South Africa. since 2007, Dr. de Beer has been lecturing at the University of Johannesburg, Johannesburg, South Africa. Previously, he was with various commercial companies in South Africa. His research interests include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) in power electronics, power-line communications, and EMC in the smart grid and Internet of Things (IoT).
