As a leader in the RF connector industry for more than 20 years, Coaxial Components Corp. has developed a foremost research tool for cross referencing the company’s extensive database of RF components.  The database encompasses product lines from more than a dozen manufacturers and dates back to the early 1970s.  Now, Coaxicom has incorporated the comprehensive cross-referencing tool into the company’s new website, launched earlier this year.

OMMIC announced the release of a new 200 GHz Fmax 30 V, 100 nm GaN/Si microwave and millimiter-wave MMIC process for application up to 100 GHz. This process is, for the time being, only open on a collaborative basis. Multi Chip Projects runs will soon be announced and the PDK will be available by the end of June 2013. 

Northrop Grumman Corp. has developed a new gallium nitride (GaN) flange packaged power amplifier, APN180FP, targeting military and commercial Ka-Band communication applications. This product represents the first commercial availability of a packaged, GaN-based component from the company.

M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (MACOM), (MTSI) a leading supplier of high performance analog semiconductor solutions, introduced RoadScape at the Telematics Detroit Show in Novi, Michigan. RoadScape, MACOM’s innovative technology, provides highly accurate position, direction, and time information, enabling a new era of location and situational awareness for the automotive and transportation industry – allowing industrial and commercial vehicles to “predict the future.”

Manufacturers and test houses can now use the R&S VTC and R&S VTE video testers from Rohde & Schwarz to test next-generation HDMI sink devices with ultra-HD or 4k screen resolution. This is possible thanks to the new R&S VT-B360 HDMI TX 300 MHz HDMI module, which is equipped with four parallel HDMI channels with ultra-HD resolution. Tests can be performed on TVs, monitors, projectors and A/V receivers with conventional screen resolutions as well.   

Phase Matrix released its latest member of the QuickSyn® line of microwave frequency synthesizers. The new compact model FSL-0010 covers the frequency range of 0.65 to 10 GHz and employs QuickSyn® Phase-Refining Technology, which means it exhibits instrument-grade spectral purity and fast switching speed, efficiently consumes power, is small in size, and is available at a low cost.  

ITT Exelis successfully completed the 33-month technology maturation phase of the U.S. Navy's Next Generation Jammer program. Installed on the U.S. Navy's EA-18G electronic attack aircraft, the Next Generation Jammer will allow U.S. forces to defeat integrated air defense systems.
