Peregrine delivers antenna tuning switch optimized for LTE-A smartphones

Peregrine Semiconductor Corp., a fabless provider of high-performance radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs), announced a single-pole, single throw (SPST) antenna tuning switch for LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) smartphones. This latest addition to Peregrine’s series of tuning devices leverages Peregrine’s UltraCMOS® process using the HaRP™ and DuNE™ enhancements to deliver an ideal combination of performance and integration to 4G wireless platforms.  In a related announcement today, the PE613010 antenna tuning switch has already been chosen by Pantech to drive performance in its new Vega LTE-A handset.

Linear introduces 15 V, 2.25 MHz synchronous dual 600 mA step-down regulator

Linear Technology Corp.'s LTC3607 is a high efficiency, 2.25 MHz synchronous dual output buck regulator that incorporates a peak current mode architecture. It can deliver up to 600 mA of continuous output current from each channel at output voltages as low as 0.6V from a 3 mm x 3 mm QFN or a thermally enhanced MSOP-16 package. The LTC3607 accommodates an input voltage range of 4.5 V to 15 V, making it suitable for dual cell Li-Ion applications as well as 5 V and 12 V intermediate bus systems.
