Millitech Inc., a leader in millimeter-wave technology, announces the product launch of Spartan Test Modules (STM), a new line of high frequency test modules providing an excellent value lower cost alternative to fully integrated millimeter-wave test systems.

NEC Portugal, a subsidiary of NEC Corp., has installed a microwave radio link between the islands of Sao Tome and Principe, providing twenty 2 Mbps channels for GSM mobile communications and a minimum of 300 Mbps for IP data communications using the 4 GHz band with a modulation of 64QAM.

 Technicolor has entered into an exclusive agreement with Cisco to acquire its customer premises equipment (CPE) business for €550 million (or $600 million equivalent) in a cash and stock transaction, reviewed by the Boards of Directors of the two companies, which will be on a cash free, debt free basis. The acquisition should result in Technicolor’s Connected Home segment reaching adjusted EBITDA in excess of €200 million by year end 2016 and best-in-class profitability (i.e.8-9% adjusted EBITDA margin) by 2017. 

The Sentinel-5 Precursor platform and the TROPOMI instrument have been integrated to form the satellite which will be leaving the UK for testing. Airbus Defence and Space will deliver the spacecraft to Intespace in Toulouse, France, for final system level testing.
