Exelis successfully completed factory acceptance testing for the Global Positioning System (GPS) III navigation payload simulator software. Developed by Exelis, the software will simulate the behavior of GPS signals in space, which will be used for testing the U.S. Air Force's next generation GPS ground station known as the operational control system (OCX). The simulator will be integrated into the Raytheon-developed GPS System Simulator (GSYS) within OCX.

Mercury Systems received $3.3 million in follow-on orders from Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems to provide OpenVPX™-based radar subsystems and spares for the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System.

Anaren Inc. announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement under which Anaren will be acquired by an affiliate of The Veritas Capital Fund IV L.P. (Veritas Capital) for $28.00 per share in cash. The transaction is valued at approximately $381 million.

Raytheon Co. has been selected by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics to provide its Advanced Countermeasure Electronic System (ACES) for the second group of Iraq's F-16IQ aircraft ordered this year. ACES was also selected by Lockheed Martin in 2012 for the first group of F-16IQs and is the integrated electronic warfare system of choice for other international air forces.

Cree Inc. announces that Shinry Technologies, a premier high-tech enterprise focused on energy efficient applications in transportation and lighting, employed Cree’s 1200V C2M family of SiC MOSFETs in its new, high-efficiency, hybrid electric and electric vehicle (HEV/EV) power converters to achieve industry-leading 96 percent efficiency.  According to Shinry Technologies, Cree’s C2M SiC MOSFETS also enabled a 25 percent reduction in product size and reduced peak power losses by over 60 percent compared to the traditional silicon versions.
