The LTE Forum 2010 will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, on April 27 to 28. It will bring operators, vendors, end-users, regulators, experts, analysts and the media together to discuss, debate and discover trends and strategies of the Next Generation Mobile technology, LTE.
According to the latest studies, the wireless business is undergoing a major shift from voice-driven to data-driven services. To provide enough bandwidth and enable more services, applications and wireless devices, the wireless industry developed 3G technologies, which are in commercial operation in countless countries worldwide. To fulfill even higher data rates, spectral efficiency and latency requirements and to enable the most cost-efficient operation, the consequent next step is to migrate to LTE, a technology finalized in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standardization body.
In Stockholm presentations will help delegates to understand why, when and how to migrate to LTE, and which tasks are currently essential to ensure that their networks remain competitive in the future. The list of speakers at the LTE Forum 2010 includes Meik Kottkamp, technology manager in the test and measurement division at Rohde & Schwarz. His presentation will illustrate means to verify LTE performance in a lab environment as well as in real-life networks, highlighting the difference between both. He will also take a look at LTE-Advanced (4G).
