RFMW announced design and sales support for a Southwest Antennas’ dual-band antenna. The 1055-404 is directional MIMO sector antenna for use with two or three port radio systems. The antenna has three, N-Type female RF ports, each feeding its own discrete antenna element, with two elements operating at 1.7 to 2.5 GHz, and the third port operating at 1.35 to 1.9 GHz in the following configuration:

  • 1 slant right (1.7 to 2.5 GHz)
  • 1 vertical (1.35 to 1.9 GHz)
  • 1 slant left (1.7 to 2.5 GHz)

Slant and vertical polarization offer polarization diversity, preventing interference when multiple streams are used. Less interference, reduced fading, and higher potential data transmissions speeds are achieved when paired with radio systems that can take advantage of polarization diversity and multipath. With two frequency bands and three polarizations, the user can create unique deployments when configured with compatible radio systems.
