RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for a Southwest Antennas’ helical designed, bifilar antenna. The 1032-034 is a right hand circularly polarized (RHCP) omnidirectional antenna operating from 4.4 to 5.9 GHz with 3.75 dBic of gain.

Bifilar antennas minimize mismatch between ground stations and aircraft as they bank and turn. Circular polarization reduces atmospheric disruption. The 1032-034 eliminates the “key hole” gap seen in dipole antenna radiation patterns to provide continuous overhead coverage thereby supporting close in communication with vehicles such as airplanes, helicopters, and UAVs.

A sealed spring base makes it safe for vibrating platforms and reduces the risk of damage to the mated RF connector. The weatherproof seal provides protection in harsh operating conditions. Capable of handling up to 20 W of input power, it includes a black chrome, Type-N(m), non-rotating RF connector.
