Richardson RFPD Inc. announced the availability and full design support capabilities for a four-stage, 71 to 86 GHz, bare die power amplifier from M/A-COM Technology Solutions.
The MAAP-011106 provides +25 dBm saturated output power and 20 dB small signal gain. The input and output are matched to 50Ω with bond wires to the external board. It is designed for use as a power amplifier stage in transmit chains and is ideally suited for E-band small cell wireless backhaul infrastructure and point-to-point radio applications.
According to MACOM, additional key features of the MAAP-011106 include:
- 15 dB input and output match
- +30 dBm OIP3
- +23 dBm P1dB
- Variable gain with adjustable bias
- 4V @ 720 mA bias power
- Integrated detector
- HBM ESD rating of 100V
- 3.78 mm x 2.5 mm die size
