Richardson RFPD, Inc. announced the availability and full design support capabilities for a new RF single-pole four-throw (SP4T) switch from Peregrine Semiconductor Corp.

The broadband PE42441 operates from 10 MHz to 8 GHz and features four symmetric RF ports, low insertion loss (0.8 dB at 3 GHz), exceptional isolation (45 dB), high power handling (+31 dBm P0.1dB), and +58 dBm IIP3 at 8 GHz. An on-chip CMOS decode logic facilitates a two-pin voltage CMOS control interface. In addition, no external blocking capacitors are required if 0VDC is present on RF ports.

The PE42441 is manufactured on Peregrine’s UltraCMOS® process, a patented variation of silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology on a sapphire substrate, offering the performance of GaAs with the economy and integration of conventional CMOS.
