EDI CON organizers have announced six new exhibitors for the show, which is taking place this March 12-14 in Beijing, China. Azimuth Systems, Microwave Vision Group, Times Microwave, Insulated Wire (IW), Southwest Microwave and Tower/Jazz join the list of exhibitors and speakers at this industry-driven high-frequency electronics event.
Exhibitors at EDI CON will present high-frequency connectivity products including over-the-air test solutions, advanced cable/connector assemblies and RF semiconductor technologies.
AzimuthSystems, a leading provider of automated wireless test equipment for 2G/3G/4G and LTE-Advanced networks, will be present a talk on “Carrier Aggregation Performance Testing: Challenges and Opportunities”, exploring how a range of propagation environments in the real world can deliver improved throughput and the role of test systems, wireless channel emulators and captured field-to-lab data to assist design engineers developing high quality devices that perform as expected in the field. The company will also demonstrate its test solution products, highlighting capabilities such as playback of dynamic transient field conditions, support for real world test for Interoperability and Device Troubleshooting, true isotropic over-the-air test including the antenna and all associated circuitry in the test path, as well as wireless channel emulation for 2G/3G and 4G broadband wireless multipath environments to provide thorough feedback on the performance of SISO and MIMO wireless devices in a real world environment.
The Microwave Vision Group (MVG), a consortium combining the technological expertise, product portfolios and infrastructures of four industry leaders: SATIMO, ORBIT/FR, AEMI and Rainford EMC Systems, will be presenting a talk on the equivalent current/source method, which allows the reconstruction of sources on arbitrary 3-D surfaces that enclose the antenna under test (AUT). This method is highly suitable for diagnostics on low and medium directivity antennas and even allows the possibility to isolate, identify and filter unwanted effects close to the antenna from the measurements such as feeding cable interactions. The company will also participate in a panel session on various MIMO OTA test methods comparing anechoic and reverb test methods. MVG will also be exhibiting solutions based on a broad range of measurement techniques, including near-field, far-field and compact range technologies for Antenna, EMC, RCS and Radome testing.
Times Microwave, a leader in coaxial transmission line technology and production, will be exhibiting the company’s broad range of transmission line solutions for military, aerospace, wireless communications and industrial applications. With production facilities in the US and China, Times Microwave addresses specialized applications with extremely demanding performance requirements and high volume commercial applications at frequencies ranging from a few KHz to 50 GHz.
Southwest Microwave, a global supplier of microwave connectors, will be exhibiting various products including the company’s full range of precision Adapters, both within-series and between-series, encompassing SMA, SMA to N, 2.92mm, 3.5mm to 2.40mm, 2.92mm to 2.40mm, SSMA to 2.40mm, and 2.40mm as well as the company’s unique 0.9mm to 1.85mm connectors. These connectors offer near metrology grade performance, referred to as Precision and are ideally suited for applications requiring metrology type measurements where phase matching is not required. Each series is produced to the same electrical length. SMI adapters provide an economical lower cost solution for critical production and test requirements. In addition, the company will exhibit high performing connectors designed to provide Low VSWR, wideband response up to 67 GHz for single-layer or multi-layer printed circuit boards where the microwave layer is on top. It is ideally suited for high frequency chip set evaluation/demo boards, test fixtures and board characterization.
Insulated Wire (IW), a global supplier of coaxial microwave cable and high power microwave cable assemblies as well as multi-conductor wire and cable, high temperature PTFE hookup wire and dielectric cores, will present a talk on how to get the best performance out of a cable assembly during the connectivity forum. IW and its China-based distributor will be exhibit a wide variety of RF connectors and adapters including its triaxial microwave cable, twisted pair and bundled assemblies. IW products are widely used in telecommunication systems, satellite , instrumentation, Commercial SATCOM and Medical Electronics.
Tower/Jazz, a global specialty foundry leader that offers a broad range of customizable process technologies including SiGe, BiCMOS, Mixed-Signal and RFCMOS, CMOS Image Sensor, Power Management (BCD), and non-volatile memory (NVM) as well as MEMs capabilities, will be presenting its manufacturing and foundry services in a special RF CMOS workshop. Company experts will be presenting a workshop on recent activity to address high reliability design requirements using Calibre® PERC, Mentor Graphics' newest reliability verification solution, designed to address the advanced circuit verification needs for electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical overstress (EOS), signals crossing multiple power domains, advanced ERC and other reliability concerns. The company will also be exhibiting its world-class SiGe BiCMOS and RF CMOS technologies, enabling many high speed consumer applications including: wireless transceivers and front-end modules, TV tuners and other set-top box and satellite receiver components, optical networking components, and radio transceivers in cell phone, WLAN, WiMAX and GPS devices.
