Richardson RFPD Inc. announced it will be joining with Analog Devices Inc. to present a free one-hour webinar explaining how to optimize infrastructure and point-to-point (PTP) radio designs using highly integrated RF ICs. The webinar will be hosted by Microwave Journal on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, beginning at 8:00 AM PT/11:00 AM ET/3:00 PM UTC. Registration is available through Microwave Journal’s Events site.
RF ICs with higher levels of integration save on space and offer higher performance and more flexibility than dedicated chipsets. Using a unique combination of design skills, systems understanding and process technologies, Analog Devices RF ICs and world-leading data converters cover the entire RF signal chain and include industry-leading high-performance discrete RF function blocks as well as highly integrated, multi-functional single-chip RF solutions.
This webinar presentation will focus on RF integration solutions that maintain performance and flexibility. It will examine the current state-of-the-art and the challenges that non-handset-based wireless equipment designers face as they strive for more functionality in smaller spaces, sometimes with the added headache of having to implement broadband transceivers that can be reused at multiple frequencies. Specific topics to be covered will include integration of high-performance VCOs into PLLs, integrating horizontally versus vertically, and external versus internal matching.
The presenter for this online session will be Eamon Nash, an applications engineering manager in Analog Devices' RF Products Group. Nash has worked at Analog Devices for 22 years, first as a Field Applications Engineer, covering mixed signal products, then as an Applications Engineer specializing in discrete RF components for wireless applications. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from University of Limerick, Ireland.
Registration is required prior to March 28 to participate in this informative live webinar. Please visit Microwave Journal's Events site to register.
