OneWeb announced that it has entered into an agreement with a consortium led by HMG (through the U.K. Secretary of State for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy) and Bharti Global Limited (“Bharti”) for the acquisition of the OneWeb business in connection with its court-supervised sale process.

OneWeb announced that the company and certain of its controlled affiliates have voluntarily filed for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. The company intends to use these proceedings to pursue a sale of its business in order to maximize the value of the company.

Teledyne Defence, a business unit of Teledyne Microwave Solutions, announced that it has been chosen by OneWeb Satellite for the supply contract to produce hundreds of space-qualified ‘flexible channelisers’ for its global satellite constellation deployment.

OneWeb Ltd. is forming a joint venture with Airbus Defence and Space as the design and manufacturing partner for its fleet of telecom class microsatellites.
