Nanotron Technologies GmbH announced the completion of a three-and-a-half-year collaborative project, led by the Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG, a global automotive and industrial supplier, to develop compact, intelligent, autonomous sensors, also known as "smart Items," of any shape or form factor.

Tokyo Keiki uses  AWR software to design and manufacture high-power amplifiers for its advanced solid state radar systems. Despite the fact that PA radar design is extremely complex and time-intensive, the company was able to take advantage of the seamless collaborative design offered in Microwave Office® circuit design software and AXIEM® EM simulation software to greatly reduce its design time, effectively in half.

OMMIC announced the release of a new 200 GHz Fmax 30 V, 100 nm GaN/Si microwave and millimiter-wave MMIC process for application up to 100 GHz. This process is, for the time being, only open on a collaborative basis. Multi Chip Projects runs will soon be announced and the PDK will be available by the end of June 2013.
