Qualcomm to Acquire NXP

The largest semiconductor merger in history

Qualcomm Inc. and NXP Semiconductors N.V. announced a definitive agreement, unanimously approved by the boards of directors of both companies, under which Qualcomm will acquire NXP. Pursuant to the agreement, a subsidiary of Qualcomm will commence a tender offer to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of NXP for $110.00 per share in cash, representing a total enterprise value of approximately $47 billion.

Technicolor to acquire Cisco connected devices division

 Technicolor has entered into an exclusive agreement with Cisco to acquire its customer premises equipment (CPE) business for €550 million (or $600 million equivalent) in a cash and stock transaction, reviewed by the Boards of Directors of the two companies, which will be on a cash free, debt free basis. The acquisition should result in Technicolor’s Connected Home segment reaching adjusted EBITDA in excess of €200 million by year end 2016 and best-in-class profitability (i.e.8-9% adjusted EBITDA margin) by 2017.

Nokia to buy Alcatel-Lucent in an all-share transaction

Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent announce their intention to combine to create an innovation leader in next generation technology and services for an IP connected world.
