CommScope, a global provider of connectivity and essential infrastructure solutions for communications networks, has completed its acquisition of Airvana LP, a privately-held leader in small cell solutions for wireless networks.

 Wireless network operators have a new, unique antenna option from CommScope to relieve overloaded cell sites and support high concentrations of subscribers in special venues. 

 CommScope Holding Company, Inc. has completed its previously announced acquisition of TE Connectivity’s Telecom, Enterprise and Wireless businesses, a leader in fiber optic connectivity for wireline and wireless networks.  

CommScope Holding Company Inc.has agreed to acquire TE Connectivity’s Telecom, Enterprise and Wireless businesses in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $3 billion.

CommScope has stripped the complexity out of integrating a distributed antenna system (DAS) into a macro wireless network by upgrading its ION® platform into a simple to use, plug-and-play solution. The new ION-U features integrated guidance and intelligence, enabling wireless network operators to design, plan, deploy and optimize a DAS more quickly and efficiently and at a lower total cost of ownership.

In a major technology development for the mobile industry, Ooredoo has collaborated with CommScope to develop a new approach to building wireless networks, which will improve installation quality and on-going network performance and reduce deployment times, in an alliance that could have major benefits for operators around the world.
