A waveguide T-junction is a handy 3-port device often used to split or combine signals.

When the side arm of the tee is lined up with the electric field of the main waveguide, it’s called an E-Plane Tee Junction. Similarly, when the side arm of the tee is parallel to the flow of the Magnetic Field, it’s a H-Plane Tee Junction.
