Cobham radiation hardened (RadHard) microelectronics were launched aboard NASA’s Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security-Regolith Explorer spacecraft.

Cobham recently received a series of orders from a leading missile manufacturer for electronic components for several missile programs totaling $157.5M. The work will be performed by Cobham Microelectronic Solutions, a business unit of the Cobham Advanced Electronics Solutions sector.

 Cobham plc announces that its acquisition of Aeroflex Holding Corp., previously announced on 20 May 2014, has been successfully completed following the receipt of regulatory and shareholder approvals.

Cobham plc announces that it has entered into a conditional agreement to acquire Aeroflex Holding Corp. ("Aeroflex") for $10.50 per Aeroflex share in cash following completion, giving the proposed transaction an enterprise value of approximately $1,460m (£869m). 

Cobham plc has established a new strategic business unit (SBU) – Cobham SATCOM – that combines all of the Group’s satellite communications businesses into one organisation, following the successful acquisition and integration of Danish satcom company Thrane & Thrane earlier this year. Thrane & Thrane will trade as Cobham SATCOM from November 2012, and will form the core of the new SBU.

Cobham announced that Chief Executive Officer Andy Stevens had decided to take early retirement due to the recurrence of a long term serious back injury. The Chairman, John Devaney, assumed the position of executive chairman while a search for Andy’s successor was conducted. Cobham plc (‘Cobham’ or the ‘Group’) is pleased to announce the successful completion of that process with the appointment of Robert (Bob) Murphy as Chief Executive Officer of Cobham with effect from 25 June 2012.
