 Agilent Technologies Inc. announced several innovations for the 2014 release of its industry-leading suite of device modeling and characterization software tools. The suite comprises Agilent EEsof EDA’s Integrated Circuits Characterization and Analysis Program (IC-CAP), Model Builder Program (MBP), and Model Quality Assurance (MQA). 

 Using the electromagnetic (EM) simulation tool, CST STUDIO SUITE®, Kymeta Corp. designs a novel range of lightweight portable antennas for mobile satellite communications. 

 NI (formerly AWR Corporation) has added Korea (September 30) to its list of venues in Asia Pacific as well as finalized the agenda and opened registration for itsJapan venue.  

 Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that its SystemVue 2013.08 Service Pack 1 supports co-simulation with the Questa functional verification platform from Mentor Graphics. System architects and FPGA designers are now able to cross-validate RF and DSP architectures directly, saving research and development time, as well as design iterations in high-performance applications, such as radar and communications.

EM Software and Systems releases new solvers in FEKO Suite 7.0 A Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) solver has been added to its comprehensive set of powerful computational methods as well as the hybridisation of the Multilevel Fast Multipole Method (MLFMM) with Physical Optics (PO). Three new import file formats are also now available.

AWR Corp. announces that the popular AWR Design Forum kicks off its fourth annual tour on July 11, 2014 in Tokyo, Japan.  Additional locations in the Asia Pacific region, including China and Taiwan are set for September. 

Computer Simulation Technology(CST) has joined the Dassault Systèmes’ SOLIDWORKS Partner Program as an official Solution Partner. In conjunction with the new partnership comes the ability of the company’s CST STUDIO SUITE^®2014 to import models from SOLIDWORKS directly.

AWR Corp. has extended its 2013 ADF tour well into 2014.  The final venue stops being added to this tour are located in Israel.  Late addition dates and locations include May 20th in Haifa and May 21st in Tel-Aviv. 

Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that GIT Japan Inc., a provider of advanced interface technologies between people and information, and a competence center for ultrawideband (UWB) chipset and module development, has selected Agilent EEsof EDA’s Advanced Design System (ADS) electronic design automation platform for complete GaAs/GaN- and silicon-based RFIC/MMIC implementations.
