Molex Inc., a global electronics components company, announced that it has completed the acquisition of FCT Electronics Group, based in Munich, Germany.  FCT Electronics Group specializes in designing and manufacturing custom mixed-layout connectors and cable assemblies. This strategic acquisition is expected to expand the presence of Molex solutions in the global medical electronics, industrial, telecom and aerospace industries.

The Netherlands has become the second Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) international partner to communicate using the Lockheed Martin-produced satellite system. During July testing, for the first time three nations used the system simultaneously as The Netherlands connected to U.S., Canadian and domestic terminals.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics announced a series of enhancements to its popular MTR Series of 30 watt, high reliability dc-dc converters. According to Ed Fuhr, vice president of power solutions, “the MTR Series was enhanced to provide broader compliance to industry standards and in support of more application requirements of its global users.”

The worldwide semiconductor market is expected to grow 3% from 2012 to 2013. There has been sequential market growth from 1Q13 to 2Q13 and the vast majority of the top 20 vendors are expecting 3Q13 to grow revenues again.
