CPI to provide superlinear high-power amplifiers for shipboard satcom program

A U.S. military systems integrator has awarded the Satcom Division of Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI) an order totaling more than $4.5 million to provide high-power, X-Band traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) and related products for a significant military communications program. Under this follow-on contract, CPI's X-band SuperLinear® TWTAs will be used in a shipboard satellite communications program for the U.S. military that CPI has supported for a number of years.

Ericsson and Huawei extend global patent cross license agreement

Ericsson and Huawei have agreed on extending their global patent license agreement between the two companies. The agreement includes a cross license that covers patents relating to both companies’ wireless standard-essential patents (including the GSM, UMTS and LTE cellular standards). Under the agreement, both companies are able to access and implement the other company’s standard essential patents and technologies globally.
