Weightless SIG announces Weightless-P hardware and Ignition Pack, partners with Antenova

The Weightless SIG announced availability of Weightless-P hardware and the pre-launch of a Weightless-P Software Development Kit. In conjunction with Weightless Vendor partner, Antenova, Weightless-P hardware is to be shown at CTIA SuperMobility in Las Vegas, September 7-9. A limited number of free Weightless-P SDKs will be made available to developers in an offer specific to the show.

WIN Semi reports August revenue, drops Q3 guidance

WIN Semiconductors dropped its fiscal Q3 revenue outlook to a low single-digit decline from Q2, compared to the previous outlook of a single-digit increase. August revenue was NT$ 1.2 billion ($38 million), a 24 percent increase from the prior year and down 1.7 percent from the prior quarter.

Ericsson is commercializing the world's first 5G NR radio for massive MIMO, with the first deployments coming in 2017. Together with the Ericsson 5G Plug-Ins announced in June and Ericsson's already commercially available Radio System Baseband 5216, which currently powers Ericsson's award-winning Radio Test Bed, Ericsson is first to deliver all components of a 5G access network.
