 Remcom announces a new circuit element optimizer for XFdtd® electromagnetic simulations software that optimizes matching circuits for several antennas serving multiple bands simultaneously. XFdtd’s Circuit Element Optimizer determines lumped element values based on the following goals: radiation efficiency, system efficiency, and S-parameters. This simplifies the antenna matching workflow because the circuit elements remain in the electromagnetic layout structure during optimization. 

Teledyne Microwave Solutions revealed a new line of YIG tuned band-reject filters that covers the frequency range of 125 MHz to 18 GHz. Powered by a new patent-pending technology that overcomes several of the long-time design limitations inherent to YIG Band-Reject, or “notch” filters, the new TMS product line delivers to customers several major performance advancements that are unparalleled to date in the industry.

 Avago Technologies, a leading supplier of analog interface components for wireless, wireline, storage and industrial applications, today announced a miniature highly integrated LNA-filter RFIC module, the ALM-2203, targeting Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (SDARS) car radio systems. The module is designed to enable SDARS signal to coexist with cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS signals commonly present in today's automobiles. 

Computer Simulation Technology (CST) announces the release of CST STUDIO SUITE® – Student Edition, a special free version of its flagship electromagnetic simulation package designed to help the engineers of tomorrow to get to grips with the basics of electromagnetic theory, at IMS 2015, booth #3244.

The new phase noise analyzer and VCO tester from Rohde & Schwarz enables ultrasensitive and ultra-fast phase noise measurements. The R&S FSWP also allows users to very easily measure pulsed sources and residual phase noise of RF components. Plus the instrument can be upgraded to a signal and spectrum analyzer.

Freescale Semiconductor introduced its first gallium nitride (GaN) RF power transistor for cellular base stations. The new A2G22S160-01S delivers exceptional performance in 30 W and 40 W amplifiers for wireless infrastructure applications, and represents the first of what is planned to become a broad portfolio of Airfast family GaN transistors for the cellular market.
