Agilent Technologies Inc. introduced the new M8000 Series BER test solution, a highly integrated and scalable bit error ratio test solution for physical-layer characterization, validation and compliance testing for receivers used in multigigabit digital designs. The new M8000 Series BER test solution provides accurate and reliable results that accelerate insight into the performance margins of high-speed digital devices.

TriQuint's TGA2594 is a Ka-Band power amplifier fabricated on TriQuint's 0.15um GaN on SiC process. Operating between 27 and 31 GHz, it achieves 5 W saturated output power with an efficiency of 28% PAE, and 23 dB small signal gain. Along with excellent linear characteristics, the TGA2594 is ideally suited to support both commercial and defense related satellite communications.

AWT Global has launched a new PIM analyzer for TETRA and UHF frequencies: The S1L TETRA MK2 Series. The new PIM analyzers are designed for measuring TETRA and UHF networks in the 400 MHz frequency range.

API Technologies Corp., a leading provider of high performance RF/microwave, power, and security solutions for critical and high-reliability applications, announced today that it has received a new, $1.4 million order for TPS75 Tactical Power Supplies. The company-designed power systems, which debuted at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual meeting and Exposition in October, will be used by the U.S. Department of Defense as a lightweight, mobile power supply to support a variety of C4ISR, UAV, and mission control applications.

Linear Technology Corp. introduces the LTC3875, a dual output current-mode synchronous step-down DC/DC controller that enables the use of very low DC resistance (DCR) power inductors by using a novel DCR sensing architecture that enhances the signal-to-noise ratio of the current sense signal. Power inductor DCR, as low as 0.2 milliohms can be used without a sense resistor to maximize converter efficiency and increase power density. This new DCR sensing technique dramatically reduces the switching jitter normally associated with low DCR sensing applications.
