WIN Semiconductors Corp. reported fiscal Q3 revenue of NT$3,553 million ($112 million), up 22 percent from Q3 of 2015 and down 0.5 percent from the prior quarter. Year-to-date revenue was NT$10,417 million ($329 million), up 18 percent from the prior year period. Q4 revenue is expected to decline in the "low teens" sequentially.

Analog Devices Inc. announced the acquisition of Innovasic Inc., a leading provider of Deterministic Ethernet semiconductor and software solutions. The acquisition adds a suite of multiprotocol Industrial Ethernet solutions and key enabling technologies to ADI’s Smart Automation Solutions portfolio for industrial automation and Industrial Internet of Things (IoT).

Qualcomm Inc. and NXP Semiconductors N.V. announced a definitive agreement, unanimously approved by the boards of directors of both companies, under which Qualcomm will acquire NXP. Pursuant to the agreement, a subsidiary of Qualcomm will commence a tender offer to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of NXP for $110.00 per share in cash, representing a total enterprise value of approximately $47 billion.

Anritsu Co. introduced new software for its Radio Communications Analyzer MT8821C that creates the industry’s first test solution that supports evaluation of 4x4 MIMO 256 QAM RF Rx performance for all DL 3CC CA band combinations with no restrictions on frequency and signal bandwidth combinations. The new software provides wireless chipset and UE manufacturers, as well as mobile operators with a solution to conduct efficient, highly accurate carrier acceptance tests to ensure performance.
