Herley Industries Inc. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Innovative Concepts, Inc., McLean, VA, has received a contract award of approximately $13.5 M from the US Army in support of ongoing software development of Improved Data Modem (IDM) software and technology.

Innovative Concepts developed IDM Technology® to supply data services in extreme physical environments where highly mobile data communications is required. IDM Technology® provides a robust set of data communications solutions deployable in virtually any mode of operation that places a premium on mobility and high reliability under less than optimum conditions. Software upgrades are being developed to meet mandates required for command and control, situational awareness and improved data links.
