Signaling a major success for Spinner in the Russian market, the company has received an order to deliver the first transmitter combiners with mask filters for the launch of DVB-T in Moscow. The transmitter combiners are the newest version of the ultra-compact Spinner CCS system and the transmitters with 2.5 kW DVB-T power each are routed to two antennas via three-way and four-way transmitter combiners.
The work of building up a DVB-T network in and around Moscow will get fully underway this year, to be followed by networks in over 30 cities all over the country in the coming years. Currently seven multiplexes are planned.
The CCS combiner modules can be used in confined spaces due to their compact design and their modular design makes them fully compatible within each power class, so system extensions are easily possible. In a combination with the CCS bypass patch panels they make up a unique security system that allows work on the combiner system to be performed with virtually no downtime.
