The new A7-MX bb frequency and phase analyzer from Quartzlock features low noise level and high resolution. This analyzer offers phase noise with -135 dBc/Hz at 1 Hz offset noise floor and measurements from 100 MHz to 500 Hz.
Phase/frequency data and Allan variance are displayed/plotted in real time with both absolute and relative frequency displayed on a large high resolution digital display over the 40 kHz to 65 MHz bandwidth. Measurement times from 1 ms to 2000s enable phase data for intermittent phase perturbation analysis and is the only way to solve for occasional phase disturbance and long-term drift measurements.
The <50 fs single shot resolution and real (200 Hz measurement bandwidth) 5 x 10-14/s noise floor are not available elsewhere. Ultra fast measurement times and sample rate to 1000 readings / s are featured. Onboard 32,000 bit data store and 24 VDC battery back up ensures freedom from supply or computer crash worries. The A7-MX bb is uniquely fully specified for input drift (1 ps/hr), spurii and corresponding peak phase modulation and Allan variance measurement error due to each spur.
The highest available resolution counter can have 15 digits for use with H Maser references at 100s measurement time. An analog meter enables the frequency adjustment of rubidium oscillators to 1x10-12 in just 100 ms. The core technologies are stroboscopic phase meter, time domain difference measurement and phase-locked multipliers. Selectable tau, filters and resolutions are featured so applications from metrology to production test see great benefits and 40 percent savings of R&D/test time.
