Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp., received orders totaling $17.2 M on its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the US Army.
Total orders received to date against the $418.2 M MTS contract increased to $391 M.
The orders are for the supply of Comtech's MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers, ruggedized and control station computers, installation kits and miscellaneous system components. Comtech's model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers feature embedded Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, including Savi Technology's ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID Reader, as well as secure Global Positioning System (GPS) capabilities.
Fred Kornberg, president and chief executive officer of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., said, "We are very pleased to have received these most recent MTS orders.
These new orders further demonstrate the importance our products play in meeting this critical program's requirements."
