Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp., received orders totaling $17.2 M on its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the US Army.


Total orders received to date against the $418.2 M MTS contract increased to $391 M.

The orders are for the supply of Comtech's MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers, ruggedized and control station computers, installation kits and miscellaneous system components. Comtech's model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers feature embedded Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, including Savi Technology's ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID Reader, as well as secure Global Positioning System (GPS) capabilities.
