Taoglas® announced that it has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 readiness and Level 1 attestation. The CMMC Program is a framework developed by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) to enhance the cybersecurity practices of companies within the Defense Industrial Base. The program is designed to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Federal Contract Information (FCI) shared with contractors and subcontractors across the DOD’s supply chain. This milestone demonstrates Taoglas’ ability to meet the rigorous cybersecurity standards required by the DOD and its supply chain. CMMC Level 2 readiness involves a thorough approach to safeguarding information by implementing over 110 security practices, including multifactor authentications, continuous monitoring and risk assessment protocols.
“In today's evolving threat landscape, a zero-tolerance approach is imperative,” said Dermot O’Shea, co-founder and CEO at Taoglas. “Through CMMC Level 2, Taoglas is further reinforcing our commitment to implementing robust cybersecurity measures for our customers, particularly those operating in highly regulated sectors. Taoglas continues to strengthen its position as a trusted supplier of secure antennas and RF components that deliver long-term peace of mind.”
Taoglas' CMMC Level 2 readiness complements Taoglas’ existing quality standards and security credentials, including ISO 27001:2013 certification. ISO 27001:2013 requires externally audited validation of Taoglas' information security management system's adherence to international standards.
By achieving CMMC Level 2 readiness, Taoglas is better positioned to support new and existing customers in the aerospace, government and defense sectors. As a U.S.-owned company, Taoglas is well-equipped to provide reliable components that meet the stringent requirements of mission-critical applications, ensuring seamless connectivity in challenging environments.
