ConductRF, a leading supplier of RF and microwave coaxial cable assemblies, is proud to announce they are exhibiting this week at the industry’s premier event, The International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2024) at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. They’ll be in booth #1813and among the capabilities they’ll be featuring are versatile, high-performance MIL-STD D38999 cable assemblies, and VITA 67 style cable assemblies that meet the stringent requirements of SOSA (Sensor Open Systems Architecture) standards. These advanced cable assemblies exemplify ConductRF's commitment to providing military and aerospace customers with exact, custom built assemblies and wire harnesses.

Versatility and Customization
ConductRF stands out in the industry by allowing customers to choose from a wide range of connector and cable brands to build their RF coaxial and multi-signal cable assemblies and wire harnesses. The brands include Harbour Industries, Insulated Wire, Radiall, Southwest Microwave, SV Microwave, TE Connectivity, and Times Microwave, as well their own high-performance ConductRF connectors and cable. This unique approach ensures that every cable assembly is tailored quickly to meet specific customer specs and requirements. The D38999 and VITA 67 cable assemblies are no exception, designed to deliver exceptional reliability and durability in the most challenging military and aerospace environments.

D38999 Cable Assemblies Meet MIL-STD Requirements
The D38999 design (PDF) is renowned for its ability to meet the demanding requirements of high-frequency performance, multi-signal management, flexibility, and durability in tough land and sea environments. These assemblies play a pivotal role in various military applications, from communication systems to radar and electronic warfare equipment.

Military operations often rely on high-frequency communication and data transfer capabilities, especially in modern warfare scenarios. D38999 cable assemblies are designed to deliver exceptional performance even in the Ka-band frequency range. Although some D38999 cable assemblies are utilized at even higher frequencies to 65 GHz, most applications require density and performance up through Ku-band, or below 18 GHz. The ability of the D38999 to handle these high frequencies with minimal signal loss ensures reliable and secure communication channels for military personnel in the field.

Adaptability is a key feature of ConductRF’s D38999 cable assemblies, making them ideal for military applications that require a number of D38999 interconnects for various signals. These assemblies can be customized to accommodate specific routing requirements, connector configurations, and length constraints, ensuring seamless integration with existing military equipment and infrastructure. Their flexibility also extends to harsh environmental conditions, with options for ruggedized and water-resistant designs that withstand extreme temperatures, vibrations, and mechanical stresses.

D38999 coaxial solutions from ConductRF are available with one of (3) standard contact sizes; #8 (their largest), #12, and #16 (their smallest).

Additionally, and even more diverse than the insert arrangements, are the standardly available back shell options. ConductRF offers straight, angled, clamp, and crimp back shells, popular strain relief styles, and other ruggedized solutions for cable being deployed in harsh environmental conditions. Furthermore, by matching all material and plating options, ConductRF can help customers obtain optimal performance and dependability, which is often elusive because of mismatched materials amongst the interconnect.

VITA 67 Cable Assemblies Meeting SOSA Standards
ConductRF’s VITA 67 cable assemblies (PDF) are specifically designed to meet SOSA standards, and are available with the following RF Contacts: VITA67.1/.2/.3, aka “SMPM”, “SMPS” & “NanoRF” connectors. They provide the utmost signal integrity and performance in numerous modular and scalable systems. VITA 67 supports high-frequency RF connections and is crucial in many applications requiring high-speed data transmission coupled with reduced signal loss. By adhering to SOSA standards, ConductRF’s VITA67 cable assemblies facilitate interoperability and flexibility in defense and aerospace systems, promoting a more efficient and adaptable infrastructure.

Commitment to Quality and Performance via 100% Testing
ConductRF’s dedication to quality is evident in every product they offer. Each and every cable assembly they ship undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it meets the highest standards of performance and reliability. This meticulous attention to detail ensures that ConductRF’s assemblies not only meet customer expectations today, the data is also available to match up with future lots that get ordered tomorrow.

About ConductRF
ConductRF is a leading provider of high-performance RF and microwave coaxial cable assemblies and connectors from L- and S- band through X-, K-, and Ku-bands, and also up into millimeter-wave frequencies from 90 to 110 GHz and beyond. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, ConductRF offers a wide range of customizable RF and microwave coaxial cable assembly solutions designed to meet the needs of various industries, including military, aerospace, telecommunications, medical and more. By allowing customers to choose their preferred connector and cable brands, ConductRF ensures that every product is perfectly aligned to its intended application.
