DEV Systemtechnik GmbH expands the capabilities of their high-end L-Band Matrix sigma with new features for the integrated optional spectrum analyzer with constellation diagrams.
With sigma DEV Systemtechnik has recently introduced a new RF matrix system, as part of its extended L-Band matrix product range, which can support up to 128 x 128 inputs and outputs in a 10 RU chassis. Configurations beyond 128 I/Os are also supported with embedded clustering options, providing satellite network operators and broadcasters with the flexibility and simplicity they need.
Now with sigma's optional spectrum analyzer, satellite network and satellite gateway operators can visualize and analyze the transmitted signals in real-time. The spectrum analyzer displays not only the frequency spectrum of the signal, and the intensity of each frequency component but also the constellation diagram of the actual signal payload.
The spectrum analyzer includes a variety of additional features, such as carrier monitoring, cross-pol isolation and SNR measurement.
Previously, operators of satellite ground stations and broadcaster had to acquire additional external systems for to display and measure a constellation diagram and to monitor signal integrity and quality of received signals in detail.
With sigma’s new feature sets critical measurements and visual representation of the phase and amplitude of the signals can be analyzed, making it possible to identify and to address signal distortion without necessity of additional equipment.
sigma’s analyzer inherits a powerful signal analysis engine and decodes streams based on DVB-S/S2/S2X modulation.
In addition to these features, sigma's spectrum analyzer also includes customizable display settings, such as color schemes, grid options and axis labels. This allows you to tailor the visualization to your specific needs and preferences.
Overall, sigma's L-Band Matrix with spectrum analyzer is a powerful tool for analyzing signals in real-time. Whether you are working on a teleport or in broadcasting, sigma with an integrated spectrum analyzer helps to assure and monitor quality of your signals.
