Sivers Semiconductors AB has appointed Harish Krishnaswamy, co-founder of and former CTO at MixComm, as managing director (MD) of Sivers Wireless. Krishnaswamy will also join the management team of Sivers.

Mike Noonen, former Interim MD of Sivers Wireless and U.S. president will continue as an adviser to Sivers.

"I am very happy that Harish Krishnaswamy has accepted the MD role. Harish has a great network in the USA and is very well known in the semiconductor industry. This will further strengthen our focus in the USA and support us in our largest market," said Anders Storm, CEO of Sivers Semiconductors.

Sivers Wireless has two development units. The one in the U.S., which has been run by Krishnaswamy, will now be run by Arun Natarajan, former vice president of RF technology at MixComm and professor in electrical and computer engineering at Oregon State University.

Krishnaswamy received his B.S. in electrical engineering from IIT Madras, Chennai, India, in 2001 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, Calif., U.S., in 2003 and 2009, respectively. In 2009, he joined the electrical engineering department, Columbia University, New York, N.Y., U.S., as a professor and the director of the Columbia High-Speed and Millimeter-Wave IC Laboratory (CoSMIC). In 2017, he co-founded MixComm Inc., which was acquired by Sivers Semiconductors in February 2022. He has received numerous awards in both academic and industrial settings.
