Rohde & Schwarz continues to roll out its customer events as digital formats, making them available to new audiences around the globe. With the 10th edition of the MNT Forum, Rohde & Schwarz offers deep insights and discussion on hot topics in the mobile network ecosystem and their test and measurement implications, including 5G benchmarking, private network deployment and Machine-Quality of Experience. Taking place on May 17, 2021 from 12:00 to 18:00 CEST and May 18, 2021 from 09:00 to 15:00 CEST, the forum provides a valuable opportunity for industry professionals to share learnings and insights that address current industry challenges.
The agenda for both days includes live and interactive demonstrations of the latest developments in mobile network testing, as well as round table sessions to network with fellow professionals and test technology specialists. Events are sorted into six clusters, enabling participants to tailor their attendance according to their interests. Talks on the first day are divided into: scoring the quality of mobile networks; new developments in applications and services; and learnings from commercial 5G network rollout. The second day has events on the topics of: network deployment, troubleshooting and operations; spectrum and regulatory aspects; and private networks, campus networks and new verticals. The clusters are separated by networking breaks for attendees to join round table discussions and visit the educational areas of the digital forum.
A number of exciting industry experts from around the globe will offer their valuable expertise to the attendees throughout the session clusters. On the first day, Michael Thelander from Signals Research Group will share the results of a 5G benchmarking campaign executed in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area and Dr. Christoph Bach from Ericsson will talk about mission-critical 4G and 5G applications. Luke Lucas from T-Mobile US will share interesting learnings from their 5G rollout and Mark McDonald from Bell Canada will share insights about the 5G performance in Canada.
On the second day, Yap Jian Beng from Singtel will hold a presentation on operating a dual-architecture multi-band 5G network, followed by Frank Brämer from Vodafone, who will demonstrate typical RF challenges using practical troubleshooting examples.
