Fairview Microwave has released a new series of 18, broadband, class AB power amplifier modules covering various frequency bands from 1.5 MHz to 18 GHz with 10 to 200 W saturated output power, power-added efficiency to 40 percent and power gain to 53 dB. Designed for 50 Ω systems and unconditional stability, the amplifiers use GaN, LDMOS or VDMOS transistors to obtain optimum performance; the lower frequency amplifiers use VDMOS or LDMOS, while the higher frequency designs use GaN.
To minimize baseplate temperature and ensure the best performance, the amplifiers can be mated to an optional heatsink with DC-controlled cooling fans. Designed to be rugged, the high-power amplifier modules operate over a temperature range from -20°C to +60°C and withstand relative humidity to 95 percent.
The compact coaxial packages have Type N or SMA connectors and D-subminiature connectors for DC bias, TTL control and temperature and current sense.
This new power amplifier family offers many options for designers seeking high efficiency, linearity and dynamic range in a small form factor. All of the products in the series are in stock and available for immediate shipment with no minimum order quantity.
Since 1992, Fairview Microwave has been providing high-quality RF/microwave components, including adapters, connectors, attenuators, coaxial cables and terminations. Specializing in immediate product needs, Fairview offers same-day shipping on thousands of in stock items with no minimum purchase required. Fairview has over 5,000 RF/microwave products, most of which are in stock and ready to ship.
