Keysight Technologies Inc. announced that the company's 5G conformance test solutions have been selected by Bureau Veritas for global 5G new radio (NR) device certification.
Bureau Veritas' Consumer Products Services division selected Keysight's 5G network emulations solutions to meet their 5G RF conformance test requirements as specified by the 3GPP 5G NR standard. The extended collaboration enables Bureau Veritas' to address a wide range of RF demodulation and radio resource management (RRM) test cases validated by the Global Certification Forum (GCF) and PTCRB.
"We're pleased to extend our close collaboration with Keysight, a leader in 5G technology, to better serve a global market of wireless device manufacturers," said Nicolas Girard, vice president of Bureau Veritas Electrical & Electronics, Automotive and Wireless business in Greater China. "Keysight's end-to-end 5G test solutions enable Bureau Veritas to offer 5G solutions to our existing mobile and ICT clients. However, we will also pro-actively support clients across diverse industries such as automotive, healthcare, manufacturing and agriculture, who will be adopting 5G to make their products connected."
Ecosystems, consisting of mobile operators, device makers and test labs, use Keysight's 5G network emulation solutions to address 5G test requirements, accelerating global certification of 5G multi-mode devices in different form factors. By using similar test tools and test cases across the ecosystem, users can achieve rapid validation of device performance and consistent results.
"We are excited to be chosen by Bureau Veritas for their 5G device certification needs," said Kailash Narayanan, vice president and general manager of Keysight's wireless test group. "Their confidence in our solutions is reflected in the fact that Keysight is the leader in 5G conformance to support their electronic, electrical and wireless labs worldwide."
Keysight's 5G network emulation solutions enable mobile operators, chipset and device manufacturers, as well as test labs, to validate new devices across the workflow, from early design to acceptance and manufacturing in both sub-6GHz (FR1) and mmWave (FR2) frequency bands. The solution suite leverages the company's UXM 5G Wireless Platform to provide early access to a leading number of 5G NR conformance protocol and RF test cases validated by GCF and PTCRB on a common platform. Keysight offers end-to-end over-the-air (OTA) test solutions by combining its 5G network emulation solutions with its compact antenna test range (CATR) chambers to support regulatory RF testing of 5G mobile devices in both conducted and radiated test environments across frequency 1 (FR1) and FR2 (mmWave).
