RFMW announces two new appointments to the company. Philip Knights has joined their organization as business development manager, RF Power products, reporting directly to Mike Carroll, VP, Global Sales. Knights joins RFMW with more than 35 years’ experience in RF Design Engineering, New Business Development, Sales Management and Marketing. Knights has a demonstrated history of strong customer relationships, revenue growth and interpersonal skills in complex RF & Microwave oriented organizations.
Prior to RFMW, Knights served as an RF design engineer in multiple Plessey Semiconductor divisions and Powerwave UK, where he successfully authored and delivered white papers at well attended symposiums. Later, he developed the RF Power business for NXP Semiconductors in North America and Brazil, then transitioned to Ampleon USA to create their North American sales organization. Knights’ latest appointment was as the Solutions Sales Manager at MACOM.
“As our RF Power product portfolio grows, Phil will help guide our sales team to offer the best solutions for customer’s high-power designs” stated Carroll. “His engineering background and strong understanding of available technologies helps us quickly present potential component solutions to customers.” Carroll went on to state, “RFMW is essentially a highly skilled and technical sales organization. As we grow, experts like Phil are essential to maintaining the service and technical support our customers appreciate.”
RFMW also announced that David Markman has joined their organization as director of business development, Mil Aero, reporting directly to Carroll as well. Markman joins RFMW with more than 35 years of New Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Engineering experience and with an extensive network of contacts within the Mil Aero RF & Microwave community.
Prior to RFMW, Markman leveraged his security clearance and solid understanding of RF and microwave technology to support numerous mil/aero programs. His work with industry-leading companies such as Cobham, Aeroflex and Smiths Interconnect to deliver state-of-the-art products and services were a benefit to customers worldwide.
According to Carroll, “David’s proven track record of business development, sales leadership and strategic marketing, along with his strong RF technology background make him an ideal person to expand RFMW’s access to new designs and new programs in the aerospace and defense marketplace. His strong contacts with executive level personnel will provide RFMW specialists access in the early development stages of new product designs.
