Altum RF has expanded its office in Sydney, adding an RF test lab with full ESD safeguards and able to characterize devices to 65 GHz. The company plans to expand the frequency coverage to 125 GHz, although it did not say when.

Altum RF is a fabless MMIC start-up which announced its presence in April of this year. According to CEO Greg Baker, the company plans to offer a full line of MMICs from baseband to mmWave, beginning with compound semiconductors — GaAs and GaN — and expanding to silicon by working with third-party partners.

Altum is internationally based, with headquarters in Eindhoven, offices in the Dallas and a design center in Sydney. The Sydney office is adjacent to the Sydney Innovation and Technology Precinct.

“Adding full RF measurement capabilities at our Sydney office demonstrates our commitment to growing our product portfolio with the highest-performing and most advanced technology. This investment not only supports the design team’s efforts, it also allows for enhanced application support to our customers.” — Greg Baker, Altum RF CEO
