RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for a GaN power amplifier module (PAM). The Qorvo QPA4501 has 2-stages of amplification for 30 dB of gain, with the final stage integrated as carrier/peaker in a Doherty configuration providing 38% power added efficiency and 3 W of average power (20 W pSat).
Designed for massive MIMO applications from 4.4 to 5 GHz, applications also include Small Cell final stage amplifiers, active antennas and Macrocell base station drivers.
Matched to 50 ohms on both input and output, the QPA4501 operates from a 28V source and measures 6 x 10 mm in a plastic, SMT package.
