RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for a broad bandwidth, GaN, solid state power amplifier from Aethercomm. Model number SSPA 6.0-12.0-100 operates from 6 to 12 GHz and delivers a minimum output power of 100 W. Employed in high shock and vibration environments, the SSPA 6.0-12.0-100 can be used on board many different types of airborne platforms. Typical small signal gain is 53-55dB. Operating from a +28 V supply, this amplifier includes an external DC blanking command that enables and disables the module in less than 10 uSec. Offered in a modular housing that is approximately 5”(width) by 9”(long) by 2”(height).
