Keysight Technologies' corporate headquarters at 1400 Fountaingrove Parkway in Santa Rosa, California has resumed operations after being temporarily closed due to the wildfires in Northern California. All four main buildings at the site are intact, and the majority of production facilities are back in operation, according to the company.
In a press release, the company said business has continued as usual at Keysight's other 145 worldwide locations, including its primary manufacturing and order fulfillment location in Penang, Malaysia. Also, the company affirmed the fourth quarter 2017 financial guidance provided in its third quarter earnings release on August 30, 2017.
Because of the Fountaingrove site's close proximity to the fires, building interiors sustained smoke and other fire-related environmental damage, requiring cleaning and additional restoration efforts, which are ongoing. Keysight has leased office space in the area to support Santa Rosa employees who have not yet returned to the Fountaingrove site.
Two modular buildings at the site were destroyed in the fire. Tragically, they housed archives of William Hewlett and David Packard, the founders of HP, Keysight's parent. According to press reports, the buildings held more than 100 boxes filled with the two men's writings, correspondence and speeches, which had been valued at approximately $1.9 million. Keysight said the storage facilities "met and exceeded the strictest standards for archival protection, including guidelines set by the United Nations and the Library of Congress."
