Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced the successful demonstration of Gigabit LTE download speeds at the 2017 IAA Automotive Show. Featured as a part of Qualcomm Technologies Inc.’s infotainment demonstration, Keysight’s E7515A UXM wireless test was used in combination with Qualcomm Technologies’ connected car platform, which features the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X16 LTE modem, to achieve Gigabit download speeds. Together, the companies achieved sustained internet protocol (IP) data throughput of 1 Gbps speeds in the vehicle using three component carrier aggregation (3C-CA), 4 x 4 downlink MIMO and 256QAM modulation. The prototype vehicle also showcased an infotainment system powered by another flagship solution from Qualcomm Technologies—the Snapdragon 820A automotive processor.
The IAA 2017 International Motor Show is the world’s largest motor show and was held in Frankfurt, Germany during the week of September 14. This achievement is a testimony to the fact that Keysight is dedicated to working with the industry leaders in wireless and will remain at the forefront of technology.
“We are pleased to have worked with Qualcomm Technologies in this important event for the automotive industry,” said Kailash Narayanan, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s Wireless Device and Operators. “This demonstrates our continued commitment and effort towards deployment of next-generation wireless technologies through strong collaboration with industry leaders.”
