Qorvo published a free, downloadable calculator supporting a wide range of RF matching circuit tasks. MatchCalc™ allows RF engineers to quickly develop matching circuits without being connected to complex simulation programs, speeding the design process and reducing time-to-market.

MatchCalc provides ideal component values for matching S1P or S2P files to the desired system or reference impedance. Smith Chart, Log Mag and K-Plot functionality are provided with real-time tuning. MatchCalc offers capabilities not available in other downloadable tools and frees RF designers to work remotely.

MatchCalc expands Qorvo’s library of tools that aim to help design engineers in mobile, infrastructure and defense markets work faster and more efficiently. The tools are also useful for university students working on design projects. The library includes the “maximum power reduction tool,” used to design carrier aggregation mobile devices. These tools and all of Qorvo’s design resources, such as videos, blogs, white papers, e-books, block diagrams and brochures, are available at the Qorvo Design Hub.
