The Argentinian regulatory authority, Comisión Nacional de Comunicaciones (CNC), has decided in favor of mobile monitoring and direction finding systems from Rohde & Schwarz to detect unwanted interference in mobile networks to prevent interference in the radio spectrum.
The monitoring system consists of the R&S DDF007 portable direction finder and the associated R&S ADD107 compact DF antenna with integrated GPS. The order also includes software licenses for R&S MobileLocator.
The solution features great functionality and flexibility. The direction finder and monitoring receiver are contained in a single instrument. The compact size makes it suitable for in-vehicle and portable use and the direction finding antenna is equipped with a magnetic mount for quick and secure installation on any vehicle roof. Since the radio direction finder is battery operated, it can be used independently of a power source. Its intuitive operational concept means inexperienced users can operate it and the system can be ready for use in any vehicle in a matter of minutes.
The R&S MobileLocator automatically detects and locates signals in the frequency range from 20 MHz to 6 GHz. The solution simplifies signal location, especially in urban environments with heavy multipath propagation and probability heat maps help operators locate signal sources quickly and efficiently.
Rohde & Schwarz has been globally successful in the spectrum monitoring field for decades. The company's system solutions meet all applicable requirements and recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations (UN) specialized agency that regulates frequency use.
