Cobham Wireless, formerly Aeroflex wireless business unit, will be demonstrating its latest RF, wireless and ATE products at this week’s Electronica exhibition in Munich.
Among the equipment on show on the Cobham Wireless stand, 117 in Hall A1, will be the new Fast Measurement Option 194, which enables PXI 3000 Series users to perform power measurements more quickly. This results in drastically reduced test times when testing RFIC power amplifiers. Typically a 57 percent reduction in servo loop time can be achieved when the PXI 3030 Series RF Digitizer with Option 194 is applied to an LTE signal.
There will also be a live demonstration of an automatic test system that combines a 5800 ATE system with PXI 3000 Series modular RF test instrumentation to add RF measurements to Cobham Wireless’s combinational test platform strategy.
Also featured on the stand will be the 2201 ProLock Phone Tester, a cost-effective test instrument for 2G and 3G mobile phones and wireless data cards, which is now being widely adopted for the RF validation of M2M modems. An application note on M2M RF testing is available to download at http://bit.ly/M2M_AppNote.
Finally, Cobham Wireless will be showing the new SPS-8 USB power sensor, designed for use with the S-Series RF signal generators and signal analyzers. The SPS has a wide dynamic range over the entire frequency range from 10 MHz to 8 GHz, and is capable of making real-time measurements at a rate of 2000 readings per second.
