3000 - 6000 MHz VCOs
The VCO690 and VCO691 series high frequency VCOs operate from 3000 to 6000 MHz with bandwidths from 10 to 600 MHz. The voltage tuning is 0.5 to 4.5 V DC in most models (0.5 to 12 V DC in wideband models). The voltage supply is ±5 V in the VCO690 series and ±3 V in the VCO691 series. Phase noise is -105 dBc/Hz (typ) at a 100 kHz offset. Typical output power is -3 dBm in the VCO690 series and -7 dBm in the VCO691 series.

Low Phase Noise Crystal Oscillator
The FEI-103A series low phase noise crystal oscillator is designed as a reference for communications systems and wireless applications, such as cellular telephone base stations. The unit features short-term stability of 1 x 10-11/s, and aging of 3 x 10-7/year and 1 x 10-6/10 years. Temperature stability is 1 x 10-10 from -10° to 60°C. The oscillator is a double-oven design that uses a fifth-overtone, SC-cut crystal to ensure both long-term and temperature stability, and is available in the 5 to 20 MHz frequency range with 10 MHz standard. Phase noise is -142 dBc (typ) at 10 Hz offset from the carrier, -148 dBc at 100 Hz, -155 dBc at 1 kHz and -158 dBc at 10 and 100 kHz.

Surface-mount TCXO
The model RTXO-119 surface-mount temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) is designed for use in 12.80 to 20 MHz mobile telecom and remote radio-based applications. The unit features high stability over both time and temperature. The output frequency is specified to remain within ±2.5 ppm over the unit's -30° to +75°C operating temperature. Aging is held to better than ±1 ppm per year and a ±5 ppm trimmer adjustment is provided on the top side of the surface-mount package. The voltage-control feature provides frequency modulation for the output signal to carry voice and data. Frequency pullability is specified for a range of ±4 ppm, according to an input control voltage from 0.5 to 4.5 V. The unit is powered by either a +3 or +5 V DC single supply and consumes less than 2 mA. Size: 0.339" x 0.449" x 0.150". Price: $9 each in OEM quantities (1000). Delivery: 10 weeks (ARO).

3 and 5 V ECL/PECL Oscillators
The SEL 3600 series emitter-coupled logic (ECL)/positive ECL (PECL) oscillators are available from 30 to 155.52 MHz in industry-standard, six-pin plastic J-leaded packages. The oscillators are available in 5 V positive-supply PECL, negative 5.2 V ECL and positive 3.3 V PECL configurations. Complementary outputs with 10 K specifications and enable/disable are standard features on the units. Frequency stabilities of ±50 or ±100 ppm are available over a temperature range of 0° to 70°C. The oscillators are designed for use in many high performance communications transport and switching as well as in data/graphics/video processing applications.

Low Profile VCXOs
The VCXO-C series low cost, low profile voltage-controlled crystal oscillators (VCXO) are designed for use in wireless modems, two-way communications, set-top boxes, cable modems and mobile telephones. The units feature a profile only 0.197" high, allowing for greater package density. The units feature HCMOS/TTL output, with output symmetry of 40 to 60 percent at 2.5 V. Pullability is ±50 to ±100 ppm (depending on model) at a control voltage of 2.5 V (±2 V overall). The units exhibit a tight frequency stability vs. voltage of ±1 ppm over a frequency range of 1 to 30 MHz. Operating temperature range is -10° to +70°C and safe storage temperature range is -30° to +85°C. Power consumption is low, requiring an input current of 15 mA from 1 to 24 MHz and 20 mA over the remainder of the frequency range. The oscillators also feature a rugged resistance weld that ensures hermeticity from environmental moisture and any water or flux encountered during the production process. Price: $5.10 (1000). Delivery: stock to eight weeks (ARO).
