TMD has recently launched a range of ultra-high power pulsed TWT amplifiers, optimized for use in high intensity radiated fields (HIRF) EMC testing. Using these instrumentation amplifiers, EMC test laboratories have generated 14,000 V/m, easily complying with the latest, most demanding RTCA/DO-160 test requirements. TMD is a world leader in design innovation in this field, and these compact, lightweight, rack mounted units benefit from being based on the company’s rugged radar amplifiers, sharing the switched-mode power supply technology. In addition to EMC applications, the units can be used for passive intermodulation (PIM) testing, scientific research and medicine.
A wide range of traveling wave tube (TWT) amplifiers from TMD Technologies will be highlighted at the 2014 EMC. TMD’s capability extends up to 40 kW special pulsed models, covering the frequency ranges 10 kHz to 40 GHz using suites of solid state and TWT based amplifiers. TMD has recently developed a full range of solid-state amplifiers at frequencies below 6 GHz.
As well as off-the-shelf models, TMD can customize units to customers’ own specifications. The company works closely with antenna specialists and chamber manufacturers to provide full turnkey EMC testing systems.
The company will be exhibiting at Booth 235 at 2014 EMC, which takes place on August 3 – 8, 2014, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
