Richardson RFPD Inc. announced its sponsorship of a small cell workshop at the 2014 Electronic Design Innovation Conference (EDI CON).
EDI CON 2014 will be held from April 8th through 10th at the Beijing International Convention Center in Beijing, China. Richardson RFPD's Small Cell Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9th, from 4:15 PM to 5:00 PM, local time. It will be held in Room C (203A) of the Convention Center.
Small cells are low power, wireless access points that transmit less than 10W at the antenna. The overall market includes residential femtocells, typically used in single-family homes, and metrocells and picocells, which are used in parks, city centers, tunnels, stadiums, and even mass transit systems. Infonetics Research forecasts that the global small cell market will grow at a 48% CAGR from 2012 to 2017, to $2.4 billion.
Richardson RFPD's Small Cell Workshop will be presented by Jason Su, Business Development Director of Richardson RFPD Greater China, and will cover the current and future trends of the small cell market and a range of key topics, including statistics on current small cell market segments, growth forecasts by segment, and technology trends.
