RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support fortwo S-band power amplifiers from TriQuint. The TGA2583 and TGA2585 cover the frequency range of 2.7 to 3.7 GHz with 10 and 18 W of saturated output power respectively. Both TriQuint devices offer power added efficiency of 54% with a small signal gain of 33 dB.

Designed primarily for Radar applications, the TGA2583 and TGA2585 use TriQuint 0.25 um GaN technology offering good thermal characteristics in either pulse or CW operation. Using a 25 V bias, the TGA2583 draws 175mA while the TGA2585 draws 225mA. Both devices are currently available in 3x1.9 mm die with 5x5 QFN packaging in development.
