New MMIC LNAs Feature High Linearity and Ultra Flat Gain
Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, has introduced four new Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) which are ideal for applications in Industrial Sensors, Test & Measurement Equipment, Military Radar and Electronic Warfare (EW) applications from 2 to 4 GHz. The HMC594LC3B is a GaAs pHEMT MMIC LNA which is rated from 2 to 4 GHz, and delivers 10 dB gain, 3 dB noise figure and +36 dBm output IP3. The HMC594LC3B is housed in a 3x3 mm leadless ceramic SMT package, and the RF I/Os are matched to 50 Ohms with no external components. The HMC609LC4 is a GaAs pHEMT MMIC LNA which is also rated from 2 to 4 GHz, and delivers 20 dB Gain, 3.5 dB noise figure, and +36.5 dBm output IP3. The HMC609LC4 is housed in a 4x4mm leadless ceramic SMT package and the RF I/Os are matched to 50 Ohms with no external components. The HMC594LC3B and the HMC609LC4 feature excellent gain flatness of ±0.2 dB and ±0.4 dB respectively, and both deliver consistent linearity across their rated bandwidth. For hybrid and multi-chip module applications, the HMC594LC3B and HMC609LC4 are available in chip form as the HMC594 and the HMC609. All four of these wide dynamic range LNAs operate from a +6V supply, incorporate DC blocked RF I/Os, and are ideal for use in Industrial Sensors, Fixed Microwave, Test & Measurement Equipment, Military, and Hi-Rel applications. Samples and evaluation PC boards for all SMT packaged products are available from stock and can be ordered via the company’s e-commerce site or via direct purchase order.
